Business Description:

This is a specialty retailer offering up-scale branded women’s contemporary American casual and working apparel in 229 stores throughout the U.S.

Our client, formerly part of a large corporate holding company with shared sevices was recently acquired by a venture capital firm, as a result, our clinet lost the support services provided to them by their former part company. One of the support services they were losing was a central staffing group which provided recruiting services throughout the organization.  Our client had 3 months to create a recruiting program from the ground up that provided services to all the retail stores, the corporate offices and the design center in New York.  As a result of the acquisition by the VC Firm, our client was going to lose several valuable resources, one of those being the candidate database from Central Staffing which housed an invaluable number of applicants in the retail industry.  While seeking soulutions to the staffing challenges, Tailored Management proposed an RPO solution that would address all the challenges.

The Tailored Solution:

Beginning in September of 2007, Tailored Management began the process of implementing our custom solution which involved selection and rollout of an applicat tracking system for increased efficiency and tracking of hiring data for EEO compliance.  In addition, Tailored Management’s onsite personnel began an in-depth benchmarking study that was used to create candidate profiles for critical roles within the organization.  Tailored Management quickly created a staff of professionals that were already a proven commodity in retail recruiting and dropped them into our proven system for recruiting excellence. Within a matter of 1 week post go live Tailored Management was making a significant impact on the recruiting needs of the organization.

Results:

Tailored Management was able to increase reporting which enabled tracking of time to fill and cost per hire metrics all while cutting the overall recruiting cost and saving the company over $400,000.
